Introducing Our Director of Sales, Tim Kline

What are three items you would bring to a desert island?

…It would be cell phone to call for help and a TV to watch Naked and Afraid so I can learn how to survive and a fishing rod - super obvious.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would that be?

Not sure why, but I have always wanted to check out Argentina and drink wine in Mendoza.

What 3 people would you invite to a dinner party?

So, as some of you know, I do not take my self too seriously so would like to have an all-time comedy dinner:

Chevy Chase but from the 80’s not the guy he is today.

Dave Chappelle during his TV show days.

Jerry Seinfeld but he has to bring George Costanza (I know that's 4 but George doesn’t count as a guest)

What’s your favorite kind of group to work with?

One that wants to try new things or is flexible. We all like to have the standard meeting but every once in a while stepping outside the typical meeting takes us back to why we started in the business.

What’s the biggest career risk you’ve ever taken?

Moving to Las Vegas when I was 23. I knew I wanted to be in hospitality and figured Las Vegas was the best place to learn. It was an amazing/crazy experience and great that I learned a lot.

Do you have any insider hospitality tips for groups traveling to D.C.?

August! Come to the city during off times, you will have the best of everything without all the traffic and big crowds.

How do you celebrate a big victory at work?

I celebrate quietly since I want to turn it into a habit of having big wins… act like you have been there before.

Describe someone outside of your field who inspires you.

My wife; she is currently a stay at home mother and the love she shows our son is a true inspiration.  The amount of planning she puts in a day to take care of him makes what I do seem like nothing.
